Texas A&M lost a commitment from 4-star wide receiver prospect Drelon Miller out of Silsbee, Texas on Tuesday.

Miller committed to the Aggies on June 29 of this year. He still holds offers from a laundry list of teams, headlined by Miami (visited on June 2), USC (visited on June 16), Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee and Texas.

While he may have played primarily as a wide receiver in high school, Miller has experience at a variety of positions. He lined up at running back and as a wildcat quarterback on offense and has played on the defensive side as well. Miller also is a highly-touted basketball player and has ran track in the past.

Miller recorded 1,401 receiving yards, 361 rushing yards, 25 total touchdowns and 2 interceptions during his junior season in 2022. He is rated the No. 11 recruit in the state of Texas, No. 13 wide receiver and No. 62 prospect overall for the 2024 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite.

In a statement that he released on X, Miller wrote the following:

“First, I want to thank my family and friends for being my support, especially my mom. She is my heart. My dad has pushed me my entire life. I love where I am from and hopefully everyone respects who I am and what I am doing but I just feel it is in my best interest to reopen my recruitment. I love Texas A&M but I need time to process what my next move is. This is a life decision. This is a family decision not just my decision. Please respect this decision and I ask that no one reach out as my family and I are spending time with each other to make sure we move in the right direction for my future.”
