Texas fans absolutely crushed Tom Herman after he lost to Maryland…again

Lather, rinse, repeat. That’s what it felt like for Texas fans on Saturday when their team lost to Maryland for the second year in a row.

This season, the loss was arguably worse with the Terrapins led by interim coach/offensive coordinator Matt Canada because D.J. Durkin is on administrative leave. The closest Texas ever came to winning was bringing the score to within three points late in the third quarter on a Shane Buechele touchdown run.

Add on to the fact that Herman admitted he was at a strip club with former Ohio State staffer Zach Smith in 2014, and its a tough time to be a Longhorns fan.

Here’s how a few people reacted to Herman saying he believes Texas is better than last year.

Texas coach Tom Herman: “A lot of people are going to want to say this feels a lot like last year. It doesn’t to me.” He believes Horns are better now than at any point in 2017.

Since 2015, Maryland has beaten 2 teams twice: Rutgers and Texas. If Herman thinks we’re better off now than last year, it’s time for a gut check.

Same UT football as last year: feeble offense, sloppy play and a quarterback who throws interceptions at the very end of the game to lose it. University of Texas football is no longer fun.
