Texas A&M on Sunday landed a commitment from tight end Jace Sternberger.
Sternberger, who is 6-foot-4 and 240 pounds, is a class of 2018 prospect out of Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.
Assistant coach Dameyune Craig led the Aggies’ recruiting efforts for Sternberger, a report from TexAgs.com noted.
Sternberger is rated as a 3-star prospect, according to the 247Sports Composite. He is the nation’s No. 3 JUCO tight end and the No. 1 overall JUCO prospect in Oklahoma.
At Northeastern Oklahoma A&M this past season, he reportedly had 21 receptions for 336 yards and 6 touchdowns. Sternberger was also being recruited by Louisville and NC State, the TexAgs.com report said.
“I will forever cherish the relationships I made at NEO,” Sternberger said. “With that being said I would like to announce that I am 100% committed to Texas A&M.”
