On Sunday afternoon, Kevin Sumlin and the Texas A&M Aggies landed a very big commitment — both figuratively and literally.

2017 OT prospect Jared Hocker took to Twitter to announce his commitment to A&M. Rated a 3-star on 247sports, Hocker chose the Aggies over offers from Houston, Texas Tech, and Kansas State, among others.

Standing at 6-foot-5, 300 pounds, Hocker is a very good athlete for his size. He’s adept at moving laterally in space, and also has the requisite power to combat powerful defensive ends.

This is a good pickup for Sumlin’s squad. With offensive line recruiting a virtual crapshoot, it’s always important to keep the depth at the position well-stocked.
