Even in the face of competition, there are things that transcend sports.

Two of these entities include humanity as a whole, and benevolence.

The Texas A&M student body is demonstrating immense amounts of charity and kindness — as its set to donate $50,000 to LSU as a means to help with flood efforts:

Texas A&M and LSU will square off versus one another this weekend in College Station. While the two programs have created somewhat of a rivalry, the competition takes a back seat when looking at this wonderful gesture being put forth by proud Aggies.

Half of the donation will go to LSU students, and the other half will go to LSU faculty and staff members affected by flooding.
