Mississippi State head coach Mike Leach died at 61 years old on Monday night in the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi, following complications from a heart condition.

There’s been an outpouring of support for the coach since the news broke from his past stops and far beyond as the college football world continues to come together to honor a legend.

“We are who we are because of you, Coach,” the Washington State statement read. “We mourn the passing of a true Legend. Words can’t even begin to describe the impact you have left on this world. We loved every minute and every memory you have imprinted into this program. Forever a Coug.”

Texas Tech, another program that Leach completely turned around in the head coaching position, released a tribute video in honor of Leach.
