It appears Texas A&M will sport a throwback uniform this season.
Aggies coach Kevin Sumlin relayed the information during an event in Dallas on Wednesday night. It appears the uniform will honor a championship team, but other details haven’t been released.

Texas A&M has worn throwback uniforms before. In 2014, the Aggies wore Adidas’ TECHFIT throwback uniforms in a game against Louisiana-Monroe. The uniforms were a 1939-style design featuring a matte maroon helmet with leather-like stitched graphics, rust-colored facemask clamps and weathered cleats. A patch on the jersey honoring Texas A&M’s 1939 national championship squad was included as well.
