It was a rough afternoon at The Masters for former Alabama star Justin Thomas, at least on his second nine holes, as it was marked by him sending his second shot over the 15th green and into the water, where he later made bogey on the par 5 when he was trying to close the gap on the leaders.

He also bogeyed the 18th hole to finish with a 71. Thomas was within two shots until he made mistakes and leader Dustin Johnson continued his strong play, ultimately with a 7-under 65 to match the 54-hole Masters record, according to the Associated Press.

Former Texas A&M golfer Cameron Champ bounced back from a 74 in the second round, to post his second 68 of the tournament to drop to 6-under par for the week. Former Florida golfer Billy Horschel has posted 70-70-72, but he closed strong with four birdies on his final nine holes on Saturday.

The final group will tee off at 9:29 a.m. on Sunday morning featuring Johnson, Sungjae Im and Abraham Ancer.
