Theo Von draws rave reviews on social media following College GameDay guest picker segment

Theo Von, a comedian and podcaster, seemed like an odd choice to serve as the celebrity guest picker on ESPN’s College GameDay on Saturday morning.
Von attended LSU and is a Louisiana native, so he had no allegiance to either Alabama or Georgia ahead of the important SEC Championship Game.
But once the picks segment started, Von won over social media. Fans flocked to X (formerly Twitter) to praise Von for his performance.
Here’s a sampling of the reaction to Von’s guest picks appearance:
Corso had no idea what @TheoVon was gonna say next! @CollegeGameDay Gold. pic.twitter.com/woyk8C0miq

I don’t like the fact that @TheoVon picked the dawgs but I’d be good with him being the guest picker every week.

Von picked Georgia to win the SEC title, so we’ll see if that pick, along with his other predictions, are proven right or wrong. A College Football Playoff spot is likely on the line in Atlanta on Saturday afternoon. An Alabama victory would make the CFP selection committee’s job even harder on Sunday.
Tune into CBS at 4 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday afternoon for kickoff between No. 1 Georgia and No. 8 Alabama.
