NFL Network’s weekly series, The Top 100 Players of 2016, ends next Wednesday with the ranking of the league’s top 10 stars. Three former SEC players have been named among the 10 best.
New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (LSU), Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones (Alabama) and Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton (Auburn) will be ranked within the top 10, as announced by an NFL Communications release. The top 10 ranking will be unveiled during two one-hour episodes at 8 p.m. ET and 9 p.m. ET.
It will be interesting to see where each former SEC star is slotted. This ranking holds a little extra weight because votes by NFL players determine the order.
All three have produced memorable professional careers, and each had breakout moments in college. Their success on Sundays shouldn’t be a surprise.
