Auburn’s rise reached new heights on Monday.
The Tigers, who are winners of 5 straight, made another push within the top 25 of the Associated Press basketball poll. Auburn rose all the way up to No. 8, which marked the program’s first top-10 ranking since February 2010.
The Tigers are now ranked ahead of Duke, Kansas and Arizona with a month of the regular season left.
Auburn wasn’t the only SEC team on the rise. Tennessee, which is riding a 5-game winning streak of its own, came in at No. 15 in the latest poll.
Kentucky was the third of the 3 SEC teams in the top 25. After pulling out a wild overtime win against Vanderbilt and losing to Missouri, the Cats dropped to No. 24.
Florida fell out of the top 25 after dropping games to Georgia and Alabama. The Tide received 6 votes.
