Mississippi State or Vanderbilt could soon be adding to their respective 2017 recruiting classes in the coming weeks as Dalton, Ga., defensive back prospect Kyric McGowan has listed both schools among his final Top 3 list.
McGowan not only announced the news via Twitter Monday, he detailed his plans for his commit date is nearing close:

Rated as a three-star cornerback by 247Sports, the 5-foot-10, 183-pound McGowan also plays receiver and running back for his high school team. McGowan narrowed his final three down from 23 scholarship offers from around the nation.
Before making his commitment, McGowan plans on taking an unofficial visit to Nashville to visit Vanderbilt’s campus. While Duke appears to be the frontrunner to land his commitment, the Commodores will have at least one more opportunity to sway his opinion.
