Former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow and former LSU defensive end Marcus Spears never lined up against each other on the football field, but it would have been quite a battle.
Friday they also took opposing viewpoints on what could be the difference in one of Saturday’s spotlight games between their two former teams.
Spears thinks ball security will play a signifcant role in who wins and loses.

If that proves to be the case, one team will have to give because both are ranked among the top-10 nationally in turnover margin. Florida is No. 3 with 14 turnovers gained and 5 lost. LSU isn’t far behind with 10 turnovers gained and 3 lost.
Tebow leaned on his own experience and believes quarterback play will tell all in The Swamp, something he knows about all too well.
Tebow says #LSUvsUF are evenly matched & it’ll come down to QB play. Adds both Burrow and Feleipe have done well to earn the respect they’ll carry to tomorrow—“This game can define one of their careers.”

Joe Burrow has shown so far that LSU head coach Ed Orgeron made the right decision at quarterback. He hasn’t thrown an interception yet in 131 attempts. Franks has thrown three picks, but has twice the amount of touchdown passes with 12.
While the opinion of Spears and Tebow matter given their experience in these kinds of atmospheres, the current players are the only ones who have a say in Saturday’s outcome. If its reminicent of any of the last four matchups between these two programs, all of which have been decided by a touchdown or less, fans should be in for a treat.
