TJ Finley is back in the transfer portal looking for a new home for the 2025 college football season.
That’s according to 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer, who shared that news on Friday morning. Finley spent the spring at Tulane after playing for Western Kentucky in 2024. He previously played for LSU, Auburn and Texas State.
Finley was set to be Tulane’s starting quarterback in 2025, but was arrested in connection with a stole vehicle earlier this month. Tulane suspended Finley indefinitely and has been actively looking for a new quarterback in the transfer portal this spring. The Green Wave found their quarterback on Thursday as former Iowa and Northwestern QB Brendan Sullivan committed to the program.
With Sullivan coming in, Finley will be leaving the program in search of a new opportunity for the 2025 campaign. He’s thrown for over 6,000 yards over a lengthy college career, but most of that production came back in 2023 with Texas State when he threw for 3,439 yards. He attempted just 75 passes last season for Western Kentucky.
Although Finley began his college career way back in 2020, he still has 2 seasons of college eligibility remaining.
