With the 2016 recruiting cycle in full swing, many coaches around the country are turning their eyes to the state of Florida, long a recruiting hotbed.
This class is no different. Just among the top-10 players in the state, there are five players ranked No. 1 in the country at their position, as well as three more ranked No. 2.
As it stands now, Florida State is doing work in its home state. The Seminoles have commitments from three players in the top 10 and and seven of the top 30 in the state. That includes the top-rated tight end in the nation, Isaac Nauta, and the No. 2 pro-style quarterback (Malik Henry) and weak-side defensive end (Janarius Robinson).
Several SEC schools are making their presence felt in the Sunshine State as well. LSU has a commitment from the nation’s top cornerback, Saivion Smith, as well as No. 1 dual-threat quarterback, Feleipe Franks. Meanwhile, No. 1 wide receiver Nate Craig-Myers is committed to Auburn, but reports indicate his recruitment is still open.
