The class of 2017’s No. 1 dual-threat QB Tate Martell has been committed to Texas A&M since August 2015, but that hasn’t stopped other schools, like Auburn, from coming after the 5-foot-10, 190-pound star out of Las Vegas.

Cal offensive coordinator Jake Spavital is listed as the coach who officially recruited Martell at Texas A&M, so the comment about him being his “favorite coach” may have worried some Aggies fans.
But Martell reminded the Texas A&M faithful that his commitment still lies in College Station.

Martell has also received an offer from SEC West rival Alabama, but that has not yet swayed his commitment to the Aggies.
With all the trouble Texas A&M has had at quarterback recently, Martell could prove to be a saving force, if he does indeed remain true to the Aggies.
