Four-star Class of 2017 quarterback Jake Bentley is very familiar with the SEC. His father, Bobby Bentley was a longtime high school coach in Alabama before taking over as an off-the-field analyst for Auburn and then joining Will Muschamp’s staff in South Carolina.
The son, Jake Bentley, has started making a name for himself on the football field getting calls from everyone. South Carolina, where his father works, just made him an offer a few weeks ago.
It does not appear Bentley is close to making a decision, but he told Dawg Nation he does have an idea of his top four:
“Stanford, Georgia, South Carolina and Miami are all up there,” Bentley said. “That’s really not a Top 4, but there’s really no order among those schools either.”
Bentley is a 4-star prospect according to the 247Sports composite and the No. 4 pro quarterback prospect in his class. 247Sports reports Bentley as the best quarterback at the Future 50 Junior Combine.
He will have plenty of time to sort through these four schools and others before he has to make a final decision a year from now.
