It was a big day in the SEC as the division races started to really take shape. The East is now solely in the hands of Missouri, while the West is now down to three teams. However, some of Week 12’s best moments came from teams that fell out of the race long ago. Let’s dive in.

5. Run, Russell, Run!

Missouri’s Russell Hansbrough had himself a day against Texas A&M, running for 199 yards and two touchdowns in the Tigers’ upset at Kyle Field. This 49-yarder was his longest of the day.

4. Classic Mauk

It’s been pointed out numerous times that Maty Mauk excels at throwing on the run or when being forced out of the pocket. Combine that with a sick one-handed grab by a receiver and you’ve got yourself a top play in any week. And then Hansbrough shows up again a few plays later…

3. The Beast Unleashed

Todd Gurley exploded in his first game back from a suspension, recording 29 carries for 138 yards and a touchdown. He blew the roof off the place when he took a kickoff all the way back on his first touch, but it was negated due to a penalty. His best play of the day, though, was vintage Gurley, as he flashed the stiff arm and elusiveness on a big gainer.

2. A Man Among Boys

Alabama’s Amari Cooper is already a pro. He just can’t get paid, yet.

1. Gamecocks’ Heroics

Nearing the end of a seemingly uninspired season on defense and special teams, South Carolina pulled of two unbelievable blocks to help force overtime in a game that ultimately lost Will Muschamp his job at Florida.
