Part of ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit’s job is to make predictions during ESPN’s “College GameDay.” Each week, we’ll keep track of how the former Ohio State quarterback’s SEC prognostication is going for the 2015 season.
This week: 2-1
Season: 6-4
THE PICKS
Week 3 was pretty kind to Herbstreit, as he notched a 2-1 week. His two wins were very comfortable, and his lone loss was a nail-biter the whole way. It was his second winning week in a row.
WIN: LSU over Auburn — LSU had a much easier time than expected, claiming a 45-21 win over Auburn. Herbie called for a big game from Leonard Fournette, and all he did was rush for 228 yards and three scores.
LOSS: Kentucky over Florida — For the second week in a row, Herbstreit went with Kentucky. The Gators spoiled his chances of a perfect week with a 14-9 win.
WIN: Georgia over South Carolina — Georgia continued its impressive start to the season with a 52-20 win over the Gamecocks. Herbstreit thought this one would be tight, but he still gets credit for the ‘W.’
