Travis Hunter has been saying for a long time that he wants to play both offense and defense in the NFL, but that has been met with a lot of negative reactions from people across the sport saying it can’t be done.

Hunter is apparently all-in on achieving this goal of his, and he is now being listed at both a defensive back and wide receiver at the upcoming NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis after the initial invitee list only had Hunter with the defensive backs.

Hunter showcased his ability on both sides of the ball this season at Colorado, as he had a historic season en route to the Heisman Trophy in 2024. Teams are going to have to decide what their plan is for Hunter, but he has showcased the ability to make a major impact on either side.

The NFL Combine provides fans and NFL personnel across the league an opportunity to start to see these guys in person and learn more about the player on and off the field. Teams will start to formulate strategies on how they want to approach the 2025 NFL Draft. Hunter entering at both positions will be one of the talking points in Indianapolis during the combine.
