Tre Gomillion appears emotional as Mizzou guard tests availability

Tre Gomillion has battled groin and hamstring injuries in recent weeks, but the Missouri guard appears to be unavailable for the first-round NCAA Tournament game against Utah State.
Gomillion, was listed as questionable or day-to-day, reportedly went through the first round of warmups, but did not make it out for the second round, and now appears doubtful to play in the game. Gomillion was stretching on the court earlier Thursday.
“Gomillion came out of the locker room and went right to the bench while others warmed up. He looked pretty emotional, and fought back tears. It doesn’t look like he’ll play today in what could be his final college game,” Dave Matter reported.
Gomillion missed the SEC Tournament game against Alabama, but appeared in the win over Tennessee. He averages 4.8 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. Against Tennessee, he received 9 minutes of action, and recorded 4 fouls.
A graduate transfer from Cleveland State, Gomillion became a fan favorite among Mizzou faithful. At Cleveland State, he averaged a career-best 10.5 points per game while he shot 52.1%.
