Former Alabama running back Trent Richardson, the former No. 3 overall pick in the 2012 draft, says he is focused on a comeback and envisions himself “putting on a yellow jacket,” according to NFL.com.
Richardson was drafted by the Cleveland Browns after three years in Tuscaloosa. Richardson, who shared time with Heisman winner Mark Ingram his freshman and sophomore years, rushed for 3,243 yards and 35 touchdowns while at Alabama.
He won two National Championships at Alabama.
His NFL career began with a solid start — 950 yards and 11 touchdowns as a rookie. Richardson played in just two games in 2013 for Cleveland before being traded to the Indianapolis Colts.
As a Colt, Richardson rushed for 977 yards in two seasons. He rushed for six touchdowns.
In 2015 Richardson signed with the Oakland Raiders but was released before the season. He signed with the Baltimore Ravens in April.
