Several true freshmen continue to make an impact this season around the SEC. Here’s a look at some of the biggest contributions from the past week:

Alabama: With an FCS opponent in Charleston Southern, Alabama was able to spread the carries around, and that meant true freshmen running backs Damien Harris and Bo Scarbrough got some work. Scarbrough led the Crimson Tide in rushing, carrying 10 times for 69 yards with a TD while Harris had 10 carries for 44 yards and a score. Calvin Ridley had 4 catches for 49 yards and a touchdown.

Arkansas: It wasn’t a banner day for any defensive players in the Razorbacks’ shootout loss to Mississippi State, but Dre Greenlaw finished with 4 tackles.

Auburn: Kerryon Johnson had 1 carry for 3 yards in the Tigers’ 56-34 victory against Idaho.

Florida: Wide receiver Antonio Callaway had 2 catches for 52 yards and a touchdown to help the Gators escape with an overtime victory against Florida Atlantic. Running back Jordan Scarlett carried twice for 8 yards and Jordan Conkrite had 3 carries for 2 yards and 1 catch for 16 yards.

Georgia: Wide receiver Terry Godwin had 2 catches for 22 yards and a touchdown to lead the Bulldogs to a 23-17 overtime win against Georgia Southern.

Kentucky: Defensive back Chris Westry had just 1 tackle and tight end C.J. Conrad had 1 catch for 2 yards in the Wildcats’ blowout victory against Charlotte.

LSU: Defensive lineman Arden Key had 2 tackles, including 1 for a loss in the defeat to Ole Miss. Derrius Guice 1 carry for 2 yards and 5 kickoff returns for 91 yards.

Mississippi State: Malik Dear had 1 catch for 12 yards in the Bulldogs’ thrilling 51-50 victory against Arkansas.

Ole Miss: The Rebels didn’t get a major contribution from a true freshman.

Missouri: Drew Lock’s struggles at quarterback continued as he completed just 13 of 30 passes for 135 yards and an interception in the Tigers’ loss to Tennessee. Corey Fatony punted 9 times for an average of 37.4 yards.

South Carolina: Tight end Hayden Hurst had 2 catches for 9 yards.

Tennessee: Darrin Kirkland Jr. had 5 tackles and a fumble recovery in the Vols’ win at Missouri.

Texas A&M: Christian Kirk had 4 catches for 43 yards and a kickoff return for 23 yards while defensive tackle Daylon Mack had 1 tackle as the Aggies took out Vanderbilt, 25-0.

Vanderbilt: Quarterback Kyle Shurmur struggled mightily, completing 3 of 12 passes for 19 yards and an interception in the loss at Texas A&M.
