Injured Tua Tagovailoa carted off the field following incredible first-half performance
Tua Tagovailoa was having a career game on Saturday until disaster unfortunately struck.
Late in the second quarter with Alabama up 35-7, Tagovailoa was rolling out to his left when he was rolled up on by two Mississippi State defenders.
Tagovailoa was 14 of 18 for 256 yards and two touchdowns in the game before leaving.
After being taken to the ground, Tagovailoa did not get up off the field without assistance. He did not appear able to put any weight on his leg and he also suffered a bloody nose on the play.
After leaving the game, ESPN sideline reporter Molly McGrath indicated Tagovailoa hurt his hip. At this point, it’s unclear what Tua injured in the game.
