Tua Tagovailoa delivers opening salvo in Bama Bowl vs. Mac Jones

There hasn’t always been a strong contingency of fans rooting for the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins in the state of Alabama. The NFC East doesn’t play as well down south as it does other areas of the country.
That may be changing – if it hasn’t already.
Local television stations made sure that they carried this week’s Patriots-Dolphins game. Why? Former Alabama quarterbacks Mac Jones and Tua Tagovailoa were facing off for their respective teams. Jones was the No. 15 pick in the NFL Draft this year by the Patriots. Tagovailoa was the fifth pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Dolphins.
Tagovailoa got the early advantage on his former teammate as he led Dolphins to a touchdown on the opening drive. Here’s how it ended:
