The reports are true, Tua Tagovailoa’s season is officially done.

That’s the bad news.

The good news is Alabama’s quarterback is expected to make a full recovery after the program’s training staff took immediate action after Tagovailoa injured his hip Saturday against Mississippi State.

If you missed it, Tua got rolled up on and failed to get up. After being down for some time, Tagovailoa was carted off the field before leaving the stadium in an ambulance. He was then helicoptered back to Alabama for immediate testing.

Following the injury scare, Alabama just released the following statement on Tagovailoa’s status:

“Tua Tagovailoa sustained a right hip dislocation that was immediately reduced at the stadium. He is undergoing further testing to determine the best course of treatment. He is expected to make a full recovery but will miss the remainder of the season.”

While he won’t be suiting up again this season, it’s great to hear Tua is expected to make a full recovery, as he has arguably the brightest future of any college football player in the nation.
