On Thursday, it was announced that the Florida-LSU game will be rescheduled for Nov. 19 in Baton Rouge.
This contest — originally to be played in Gainesville — was cancelled due to Hurricane Matthew.
Florida administrator Jeremy Foley is not very happy about the result. Adding some fuel to the proverbial fire, Twitter is currently buzzing over the development:
Crazy to think Florida gave up two home games. Local business community in Gainesville can't be thrilled with that. Lots of lost revenue

According to the SEC, if the game hadn't been rescheduled, both LSU and Florida would "have been ineligible to compete for the SEC title."

Good point. Though South Alabama now finishes the year 1-0 vs. the SEC. https://t.co/wF30lFxvPz

Glad SEC has resolved #UF #LSU game mess … was ridiculous that some thought Gators were scared to play this game.

How much does game site matter for Florida & LSU?
A few percentage points could make all the difference in tight divisional races. pic.twitter.com/YzxD1N2e3q

Well, an otherwise atrocious Nov. 19 SEC schedule just got a boost.

So, basically, Coach O gets this five-game stretch to earn full-time #LSU gig:
Ole Miss
Alabama
@ Arkansas
Florida

If Jeremy Foley had eligibility, UF should start him at LB. He'd be like Charles Jefferson in Fast Times at Ridgemont High after car stolen
