College football fans everywhere were waiting to hear which teams would make the final playoff poll. The committee met for the final time in 2014 and set the playoff bracket. Fans were quick to take to twitter to express how they felt about the new poll.
Here are some of the twitter reactions following the announcement:
And the Big 12 gets completely pushed out of the way by the @CFBPlayoff. No championship game ultimately comes back to bite Baylor & TCU.

From 3 to 6… What a joke @CFBPlayoff
— Brett Sooter (@bsoot2140) December 7, 2014
Big time money grab by the @CFBPlayoff committee. Congrats

Congrats, College Football Playoff committee. You made the safest and ostensibly wrong pick. No logical argument for Ohio State at No. 4.

College football has the dumbest system and this playoff didn't solve anything at all
— Trace Middleton (@royaltmiddleton) December 7, 2014
Kim Kardashian didn't break the internet this year, but don't worry, the CFB playoff brackets will #big12football
— Daniel Skucius (@Skucius) December 7, 2014
Human element will pick the best storyline which happens to favor popularity/$. Saban/Meyer,Winston/Mariota sells. Big 12 had no shot.
— Jalen Rose (@JalenRose) December 7, 2014
I will say this I think Florida St. is the weakest of the four teams. I also think TCU would beat Florida St.
— Scott Abraham (@S_Abraham_16) December 7, 2014
If I went to TCU or Baylor I'd riot
— Tony Torres (@TonyTorres_1) December 7, 2014
It doesn't matter cause Alabama would've beaten TCU or Baylor and they'll beat Ohio State
— CMillz The Elite (@Pyschxlogical) December 7, 2014
So…Alabama gets a bye in the first round of the College Football playoffs?
— Troy Daniel Smith (@troydanielsmith) December 7, 2014
Best part about this? Now Bowlsby and the Big 12 WILL use the tie breaker to place Baylor in the top NY6 bowl. Can't make this stuff up.
— Dave Shook (@DShookCSL) December 7, 2014
Buckeyes are in…..TCU and Baylor are salty
— Jason James (@jsun3434) December 7, 2014
Make no mistake that the name brand of Ohio State was a factor when selecting them over TCU and Baylor. It's crazy not to look at that.
— 1st name Odysseus (@Oclark38) December 7, 2014
Really sucks for TCU/Baylor. If those two teams are Texas/OU at least one or possibly both teams get in. Big 12 needs a championship game!
— Kale (@kale_ruiz) December 7, 2014
In truth it's should be eight teams. TCU and baylor BOTH deserve a spot.
— Josh (@justjoshjaden) December 7, 2014
It comes down to marketability.
1) Alabama
2) Oregon
3) Free Shoes University
4) Ohio State
Baylor & TCU are lacking.
— Rebecca (@frazzledrn) December 7, 2014
Baylor squeaked by a terrible Texas Tech team last week by 2 points. Please stop acting outraged. You all weren't that good…
— Jason (@UCCowboy) December 7, 2014
If you are mad about Baylor or TCU not getting in, then contact the Big 12 and tell them to have a championship game next season.
— Steven Maresca (@SMaresca21) December 7, 2014
I guess it's already time for an 8 team playoff.
— Ryan Haas (@RHfactor19) December 7, 2014
All in favor for an 8 team playoff now. This is corrupt.
— Travis Kaeser (@Travis_Kaeser) December 7, 2014
8 team playoff adds TCU, Baylor, Michigan State, and Mississippi State. Ole miss and Georgia tech first 2 out. No arguments there.

Worked for the internet in Los Angeles before being lured back to Florida by SEC football and the promise of a bourbon bar. When he's not internetting or watching football, he's probably out giving himself 4-footers on the golf course.
