LSU head coach Ed Orgeron spoke to the media on Thursday, and confirmed two players that will not be available for the Tigers as they host No. 2 Georgia on Saturday.
Orgeron said that WR Dee Anderson and NT Tyler Shelvin will not play against the Bulldogs, per 247Sports.
Anderson, a Texas native, has 12 catches for 154 yards this season for LSU. The junior was a the No. 37 wide receiver coming out of high school, per the 247 Sports Composite. Ed Orgeron has sang Anderson’s praises this season, particularly after his performance in the Week 4 victory over Louisiana Tech.
Tyler Shelvin has been out for the majority of this season, having only played in one game.
Despite the loss to Florida, LSU could feasibly make the College Football Playoff by winning out in the rest of its brutal regular season schedule. A win over Georgia on Saturday would be a great start.
LSU and Georgia kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
