A former Auburn tight end has chosen his next destination.

Senior Tyler Fromm, brother of former Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm, is transferring to Georgia Southern. Tyler Fromm announced his decision on Instagram.

In 3 seasons with the Tigers, Fromm had 14 receptions, 165 receiving yards and a score. His best season was in 2021, when he caught 8 passes for 93 yards and a touchdown.

Fromm is a native of Warner Robins, Georgia. Recruited out of Warner Robins High School, Fromm signed his national letter of intent with Auburn in 2018.

Before choosing Auburn, Fromm considered other SEC schools like LSU, Florida, South Carolina and Ole Miss. He also looked at UNC, Maryland, Louisville, USC and other schools as possible destinations.

Georgia Southern went 6-6 during the regular season to become bowl eligible. The Eagles will face Ohio in the Myrtle Beach Bowl this Saturday at 11 a.m. on ESPN.

Auburn also went 6-6, almost missing out on bowl season after losing its final two games of the season. The Tigers take on Maryland in Music City Bowl on Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. on ABC.
