There are 12 uncommitted top 50 prospects in the final 247Sports Composite rankings for the Class of 2016 with Southeastern Conference football programs clearly in the mix.

Here they are, along with the latest buzz on their respective recruitments.

Rashan Gary, DT, Paramus (N.J.) Catholic: Alabama, Ole Miss and others trail favorite Michigan for the nation’s No. 1 overall prospect.

Derrick Brown, DT, Buford (Ga.) Lanier: Georgia is the team to beat over Auburn, but it would be shocking if he did not end up in the SEC somewhere.

Ben Davis, LB, Gordo (Ala.): Alabama is the team to beat.

Mique Juarez, LB, Torrance (Calif.) North: Former USC commit is now seriously considering Alabama and Ole Miss.

Mecole Hardman Jr., ATH, Elberton (Ga.) Elbert County: Never count out UGA for a prospect in northeast Georgia, but Alabama has made a serious push and now has to be considered the leader.

Demetris Robertson, ATH, Savannah (Ga.) Christian: Four-way race with Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame and Stanford all with a shot- this one could take a while.

Lyndell Mack Wilson, OLB, Montgomery (Ala.) Carver: Most believe he stays in-state and rolls with the Tide at the end, but Florida, Georgia and Auburn are all in play.

Jeffery Simmons, DE, Macon (Miss.) Noxubee County: It’s Ole Miss, Alabama and Mississippi State. It would be a big upset if he leaves Mississippi, but if any team can do it, it is the Crimson Tide.

Kristian Fulton, CB, Metairie (La.): LSU is the clear team to beat here, but others (like Florida) continue to linger. Can the Tigers close the deal?

Landon Dickerson, OT, Hudson (N.C.) South Caldwell: Florida State is the team to beat, but Tennessee and Auburn are players, along with others. Someone will have to top the Noles to get him, though.

A.J. Brown, WR, Starkville (Miss.): This is shaping up to be a Mississippi State vs. Alabama battle (Brown is a huge riser rankings-wise and looked great in the Under Armour All-America Game). Give the edge the home team.

Brandon Jones, S, Nacogdoches (Texas): One of the top safety prospects in the country will come down to two in-state programs — Texas A&M or Texas.

Nate Craig-Myers, WR, Tampa (Fla.) Catholic: Auburn, where he was once committed, is the team to beat with Ole Miss and North Carolina lurking. All signs point to the Tigers for now.
