If you missed it, Vanderbilt offensive lineman Cole Hardin was involved in an automobile accident Thursday. The redshirt sophomore crashed his moped into another vehicle and had to be taken to the hospital.
According to a witness, Hardin did not lose conscious and did not appear to suffer a head injury following the incident. Hardin tweeted out this photo after the accident, suggesting he’s in good spirits despite having an otherwise terrible day:

While Hardin appears to have gotten lucky, he did suffer an injury to his right ankle, a gash on his shoulder and abrasions on his right arm. The sophomore competed for a starting spot on the offensive line last spring but will now face a recovery period that could affect his chances of earning a starting role before the season begins.
Thank you everyone for the well wishes! Im blessed to only have cuts and scrapes on my shoulder. 10 stitches later and I'm as good as new!
