Urban Meyer raves about Jalen Milroe as a runner, compares him to past superstars

Urban Meyer had big praise for Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe, comparing him to former college football stars.
The FOX analyst Meyer had this to say about Milroe on his show Urban’s Take with Tim May.
“Right now the Reggie Busch, Percy Harvin of college football is playing quarterback for Alabama,” Meyer said. “And they’re running him. He had 130 yards rushing. 20-some, 25 carries. There’s a couple clips on that video tape where he’s, other than Marvin Harrison, he’s the best athlete in college football and he’s touching the ball every snap for Alabama.”
Certainly some high praise from Meyer comparing Milroe to former college football stars, but he’s been proving it on the field this season for Alabama.
The sophomore quarterback Milroe has led Alabama to an 8-1 record on the season, and 6-0 in conference play. In his 8 starts, Milroe has completed 114-of-176 pass attempts for 1836 yards while also adding 13 touchdowns, and only 5 interceptions. As a runner, he has also added 297 yards rushing and 9 touchdowns on 97 carries.
After leading the Crimson Tide to back-to-back wins over ranked opponents, now Milroe and the Alabama offense will look to stay hot as they travel to Lexington this Saturday to take on the Kentucky Wildcats in a cross-division SEC matchup.
Alabama plays Kentucky this Saturday at noon ET on ESPN.
