Urban Meyer removed as ‘Head Breakfast Coach’ at Bob Evans restaurants

Urban Meyer hasn’t lost his job at Ohio State yet — as of Thursday afternoon — but he was placed on paid administrative leave. However, the Buckeyes’ coach did lose a different role.
Bob Evans Restaurants announced that Meyer will no longer be the “Head Breakfast Coach,” suspending a partnership that the chain started with the Ohio State coach just three days ago.
Meyer partnered with Bob Evans to raise proceeds for the Urban Meyer Family Foundation. However, after Wednesday’s report that the Ohio State coach lied about knowing of domestic violation allegations toward a former assistant on his staff, that promotion with the restaurant chain was put on hold.
Bob Evans is removing all content including Meyer during Ohio State’s investigation.
At Bob Evans Restaurants, we believe strongly in the family first values upon which the company was founded. We are suspending the current partnership with Urban Meyer and removing all related content pending the results of the official Ohio State University investigation.

It’s possible that Meyer could also lose his coaching job in the future, but that likely wouldn’t happen until Ohio State has completed its investigation.
