Urban Meyer is busy getting ready for his first season at the helm of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

But, he took some time out on Saturday night to cheer on his old team.

Florida is kicking off its 2021 season at home tonight against Florida Atlantic and there are some familiar faces in the crowd.

On hand for the action are former Florida coaches Urban Meyer and Steve Spurrier, who have been chatting throughout the game.

For Meyer, it’s the first time the new Jacksonville Jaguars has been back to Florida for a game since 2010.

Meyer, of course, had an incredible run in Gainesville, winning 2 national titles and compiling a 65-15 record in 6 seasons as Florida’s head coach.

Spurrier, meanwhile, might be an even bigger legend with Gator fans. Not only did he win a Heisman Trophy while quarterbacking the Gators during his playing days, he also racked up a 122-27-1 mark in 12 seasons as Florida’s head coach.

Thus far it’s been a fun night for everyone in Gainesville, as the Gators lead 14-0 late in the 1st quarter.
