Now that spring practices are over, it’s going to be a long couple of months before the real on-field preparations for the 2018 season begin.

As the slow period hits, USA TODAY has decided to take stock of each program in the FBS and where they stack up against each other — all 130 of them.

Clemson holds down the No. 1 spot, with Alabama leading all SEC teams at No. 2. You can find the entire 1-130 rankings here, but the SEC teams are listed below:

  • No. 2 — Alabama
  • No. 6 — Georgia
  • No. 11 — Auburn
  • No. 21 — Mississippi State
  • No. 24 — South Carolina
  • No. 31 — Texas A&M
  • No. 41 — LSU
  • No. 53 — Florida
  • No. 56 — Mizzou
  • No. 66 — Tennessee
  • No. 69 — Arkansas
  • No. 73 — Kentucky
  • No. 76 — Ole Miss
  • No. 83 — Vanderbilt

These rankings would have five SEC teams in the preseason top 25, so we’ll have to see if that holds true through the summer.

For now, though, the SEC looks as if it could be a top-heavy conference once again in 2018.
