Vanderbilt Stadium broke ground in 1922 and has been renovated several times, most recently a phase-phase, mult-million-dollar project from 2008-11 that featured construction of additional seating, football offices, locker rooms, recruiting facilities, etc. and much more.
Timing feels off on this one.

There's no room anywhere around Vandy campus for a new stadium. Can't see any way besides leveling it and starting over.

It currently has a max capacity of 40,350, which ranks last in the SEC by about 23,688 seats. The Commodores also had the conference’s lowest total of attendance in 2015 with an average of 32,134 fans per home game.
