Vanderbilt made moves on the recruiting trail this Super Bowl Sunday, signing a player with a Heisman Trophy and NFL bloodline.

The Commodores locked down a commitment from two-star tailback Jaire George, son of former Ohio State and Tennessee Titans running back Eddie George.

The news was confirmed by The Tennessean, which reportedly received the news through a text message from Eddie.

Jaire hails from football factory DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Md., and he played both offense and defense in high school.

However, George did tell The Tennessean’s Vanderbilt beat writer, Adam Sparks, that his son will play tailback for the Commodores.

George is the 15th commitment in Vanderbilt’s current 2015 recruiting class, which still ranks 13th in the SEC in the 247Sports industry composite rankings.
