Vanderbilt lands commitment from running back Delbert Mimms

Vanderbilt has added its first running back to its 2019 recruiting class.

On Wednesday, 3-star recruit Delbert Mimms announced on Twitter that he has committed to the Commodores. He chose Vanderbilt over offers from Kentucky, Louisville and Washington State, among others.

Mimms is listed at 5-foot-11, 200 pounds, and he plays for Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis. He is the No. 110 running back recruit in the 2019 class and the No. 19 Indiana recruit, per 247sports composite.

Mimms is the 13th commitment that the Commodores have landed in their 2019 recruiting class, all of which are 3-star recruits.

With the addition of Mimms, Vanderbilt has the No. 48 recruiting class in the nation, ranking 12th in the SEC.
