Vanderbilt running back Ralph Webb is arguably the best rusher in program history.
The junior became the program’s all-time leading rusher this season — and also broke the single-season rushing mark in Vandy’s bowl game loss to North Carolina State on Monday.
Many productive running backs opt to leave for the NFL after their junior seasons. The shelf life for a RB isn’t great, and there’s a general desire to have minimal tread on the proverbial tires.
After the contest, Webb went against conventional wisdom — and opted to return to school for his senior season:

Without question, Derek Mason and company will lean on Webb to get them to a consecutive bowl game in 2017.
