College football is back, and so is the physicality that comes along with the sport.
Vanderbilt and Middle Tennessee State met in Murfreesboro Saturday night in a rematch of 2016. Last season, Vanderbilt got the best of the Blue Raiders, winning 47-24.
The two schools stand less than 90 miles from each other in Tennessee.
Vanderbilt tight end Jared Pinkney gave Commodore fans something to cheer about with one of the biggest hits of the opening weekend.
