Grimes recently narrowed down his recruitment to a final six which listed schools, including Alabama, Florida and Georgia, in alphabetical order. In Atlanta, however, Grimes ranked the top six in order, and it’s Ohio State and Florida at the top. The Buckeyes are the current leader, but the Gators could be helped if Grimes’ St. Thomas Aquinas teammate, four-star QB Jake Allen, can convince his stud receiver to tag along to Gainesville.
Allen, who recently took part in the Elite 11 Finals, was throwing to Grimes Saturday in Atlanta.

The buzz in Atlanta is a Florida-Ohio State battle, but the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide should not lose all hope for landing Grimes. Anyone who follows recruiting knows that most of these battles don’t end until the fax is in.
