Alabama was celebrating Monday, and not just because it marked the start of LSU game week.
It was also Nick Saban’s 65th birthday, and his players fittingly sang “Happy Birthday” as he walked into the team room for a meeting. A video posted to a Twitter account run by the Crimson Tide’s football staff showed Saban striding past a balloons, table lined with cupcakes and a woman wearing a party hat as his players serenaded him.
Saban told the media earlier in the day he received one odd gift for his birthday, a revelation that made both him and reporters laugh.
