Nevertheless, the Crimson Tide defense was once again happy to dent the scoreboard itself in a 33-14 victory over the Aggies. Defensive end Jonathan Allen scooped up a fumble and returned it 30 yards to paydirt.
One of the most impressive streaks in the country, ‘Bama has now scored a non-offensive TD in 10 consecutive games dating to last season’s College Football Playoff semifinal. So far this season, the Tide have five fumble-return, four interception-return and three punt-return scores — that’s 12 total — in eight games.
