There’s considerably hype surrounding the Sept. 10 clash between the Tennessee Volunteers and the Virginia Tech Hokies.
This contest dubbed the “Battle at Bristol” is being considered the largest college football game in history — with a crowd capacity nearing 150,000. The unique atmosphere is punctuated even further by the fact that a racetrack will serve as the setting for this affair.

On Monday, the iconic UT ‘creamsicle’ checkerboard end zone is now in the infancy stages of being implemented.
The Volunteers — after struggling in its 20-13 overtime win over Appalachian State — will take on an upstart Hokies’ squad led by new head coach Justin Fuente and dual-threat signal-caller Jerod Evans.
In Evans’s first start, he threw for four touchdowns and led the team in rushing with 46 yards. He figures to test UT’s defense with his escapability and quickness.
This grand event will kick off at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
