Video: Dak Prescott claims the SEC prepared him to dominate at Lambeau Field

Dak Prescott is arguably the greatest player in Mississippi State football history. He’s also having a tremendous rookie season as the Dallas Cowboys’ starting quarterback, leading the team to a 5-1 record.

But his newfound NFL success isn’t making him any less proud of his college career. When asked about playing in Lambeau Field for the first time after Sunday’s win over Green Bay Packers, Prescott compared his experience to playing in the SEC.

“Just stayed within the moment,” said Prescott, via Fox Sports Southwest. “[I] just stayed within the game plan. My coach and my teammates, everybody helping me. It was a great atmosphere, it’s definitely that. But I’ve played in the SEC, so I’ve been prepared for it a little bit.”

The Cowboys defeated the Packers, 30-16, to stay atop the NFC East standings. Prescott threw for 247 yards, a career-best three touchdowns and one interception (the first of his career) on 18 of 27 passing.

Sunday’s postgame interview wasn’t the first time Prescott related his college experience to the NFL. After experiencing a big hit from Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict, the rookie QB compared it to playing against Alabama.

Dak: "I played in the SEC against Alabama."
