Video: Georgia struggles with Nicholls in Jacob Eason’s first start

Georgia should have had an easy time of it on Cupcake Saturday, but instead it had to had to hold off Nicholls late, 26-24.
Bulldogs freshman quarterback Jacob Eason, making his first career start, was up and down between the hedges. While he deserves some of the blame, his receiving corps needs to step it up a notch and help him out.
Perhaps most suprising, UGA running back Nick Chubb was bottled up by the Colonels for long stretches of this game. He finished with only 80 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries, and at no time did he truly get into a rhythm. On the bright side, through two games now, he’s suffering no ill effects from 2015’s knee injury.
On the defensive side of the football, look out for tackle Trenton Thompson. He was positively unblockable with 11 tackles — a trio of them behind of line of scrimmage. Guys at his position don’t usually dent the stat sheet like that.
