Do you sometimes have trouble understanding what LSU coach Les Miles is saying?
You’re not alone. According to standout running back Leonard Fournette, sometimes the entire team fails to understand what Miles is saying.
Reporters asked Fournette about Miles’ words ahead of tomorrow night’s Texas Bowl, and NOLA.com published a video of his response:
“He has a way with words. Sometimes it may take you a week to figure out what he really said. When he’s explaining something to the team, everybody looks at each other like, ‘What does that mean?’ He’ll look at us like, ‘Y’all don’t get it, right?’ and we’re like, ‘No, we don’t get it.’ And he’ll just explain it in a different way.
The coaches decipher it for us. Once we’re out of practice, we’ll go back and ask them, ‘What (did coach Miles say)?’ and they’ll make it simpler for us.
