Video: Nick Chubb looks like Nick Chubb, runs Georgia to a win

While the majority of the SEC stumbled a bit in Week 1, Nick Chubb looked like his old self again.

The junior running back, coming back from a devastating knee injury 11 months ago, was sensational with 222 yards and 2 touchdowns on 32 carries. His 55-yard TD romp in the fourth quarter sealed it.

For first-year coach Kirby Smart, he has to be breathing a big sigh of relief. With uncertainty at quarterback, now he knows for sure that Chubb is 100-percent healthy again and can handle the load in the backfield. Jacob Eason flashed throwing the ball, but he’s still an inexperienced freshman.

Sony Michel is yet to be cleared to play following his offseason broken arm, so Chubb will be asked to carry the ball perhaps a little more than Smart originally envisioned. He was terrific, though.

Be sure to watch the video above for some quick commentary from a big Bulldogs victory in Atlanta.
