One year ago this week, Steve Spurrier resigned as the South Carolina head coach.

This season, Will Muschamp was brought in to lead the team.

On Tuesday, senior QB Perry Orth was asked by The State about the change and how the program is different now than it was under the Head Ball Coach.

“There are some things that are done differently, but overall it’s been the same teammates for the most part, so it hasn’t felt that much different,” Orth said.

However, he added there are some minor differences between Muschamp and Spurrier’s reigns.

“There’s the little things like wearing the same stuff to practice and shirts tucked in and everything like that, but that would be the biggest difference — attention to detail,” he said.

The Gamecocks are off to a slow start this season, piling up a 2-4 record through six games.
